How do you build a single, unifying brand platform for a sport that is simultaneously hyper-local, deeply nostalgic, and trying to reach a new generation of fans globally?

At the opening of the ‘23 season, we unveiled the new Brand Strategy of Baseball Is Something Else, meant to capture the charm, dynamism, purposefulness and communal aspects of the sport. As a marketing function our objectives are ultimately to grow the game by acquiring new fans, and deepening the engagement with existing fans.
